Not fishing now but they should be easy to find. There isn't much water there. This is the lowest I have seen it in years.

Chauncy....any size to the bass? Last couple times I was out I wasn't able to get into any good bass. I'm hoping to get out there next week and try to find some good smallies..

Jason, One of the smallies was tourney worth. Well over 3#. The others wouldn't measure as keepers but were fun on my 6lb test. Wilbur, i've been fishing that lake for over 40 years and for the last three of them, probably 4 or more times a week. I know some areas of the lake pretty well. Being retired really is a luxury to look forward too.

Thanks for the info. I fished Crooked Creek Lake the other day and it seems most of the ones I caught were 10-15' deep. Is that what you are finding in Shenango?

I found 13ft to be my best depth. But dont hesitate to check shallower. If you have some favorite spots that are now out of water, turn around and look for the first drop or piece of structure near that spot. You may be surprized what you find using it.

Took my own advice yesterday and turned around and fished the first dropoff out from one of my favorite blowdowns. Got most of these there. Kept 10 out of over 40. All are 12 and better.

Yeah, I fished there Friday. I didn't do as good as you, but did catch some nice ones. I am pretty sure I saw the red Lund along the right shore line.

Chauncy, do you fish Arthur much? I live right down the road and fish it like you fish Shanango. I have fished Shanango only a few times and mostly for bass, but crappie is my passion. If you see a yellow/white/black skeeter covered in Amsoil graphics make sure you say hello. I just put side imageing on my boat this past spring and was hopeing to find a few spots over at Shanango to get ready for ice season.

Go to your icefishing areas and mark some of those spots on your SI. Download the waypoints onto an sd card and you can get the waypoint numbers to download into your handheld unit for the ice season. I can't get to 75% of my favorite spots on the ice here. No access points on that area of the lake and i'm not walking across the channel to get to them.
Only fished arthur a couple times from shore. Hope to get there this ice season tho.

Nope, I haven't been there since the 12th. I put my boat away last week, but wish I would have kept it out a little longer.
