Taking boys fishing could use input

I will have my 14 and 12 year old boys fishing next Wed. Thursday and Friday on the SR.  The last 3 years we do OK but could use any help we can get. The boys use noodle rods with floats and might use my fly rod.

    If it were me, I'd take them on a nature hike along the mid river trails and spend some quality time with them fishing numerous spots/types of water -vs- fighting the crowds in Altmar.
     
    Let them try different techniques.
     
    The fish are on the move and are everywhere.

    Fish being on the move is the key phrase. So if you are on the move yohu should find some action.

    Guys i take my boys to the Sportsman hole. We get there early and have room to fish. We also have gone to the pay to fish area. Not bad $45 for me the kids fish for free. But this time of the year i guess we can find fish everywhere.
