first arthur trip
woke up with the intentions of fishing steel, but headed south into pa this morning to fish lake arthur. though i did nothing more than put holes in the mouths of some perch, i was awestruck with the beauty of the place. what a nice area. as many of you know, i own pymatuning, but i am thinking of selling it and buying arthur and making it a pay lake... . seriously, after all the reports of the lake being an ideal fishing spot, i can really believe it. i envy yunz who live close to it. i was going to buy spoonchucker breakfast, but he knew i was going to call so he took his phone off the hook. i had to eat both breakfasts before i fished .

Arthur is indeed a beautiful place... fished it many times growing up, and a few times in recent years. The problem is there are few lakes to choose from in the area for recreation, so during the summer months it is horribly overcrowded on weekends/evenings IMO... 'off peak' times are certainly the way to enjoy it.

pc, i will give you the pa side on the south end. i retain control of the north end and the south end, ohio side . fisherlady, we have taken our daughter down there swimming a few times, and actually liked it, but as you said, extremely crowded (lots of pirate fans). this was the first time i fished it,though.

Shouldn't be too crowded with pirate fans. There aren't to many out there who actually admit to it.

having followed the tribe for 50 years, i understand what you are saying. sure were a lot of black and gold bikinis that i wasn't allowed to look at . truly is a beautiful lake, though.
