I was out there on Sat., never seen so many bait fish.  Good sign for a near dead river I suppose!

My buddy just told me theres more baitfish than ever! I guess that may cause an issue with getting the fish to bite. He went up Pine Creek in a boat and said baitfish were jumping everywhere and he saw many pods of baitfish.

I fished the Mon Friday at Elizabeth.  I marked a TON of what appears to be good sized fish.  I caught 2 channels(19"&22"), 2 smallmouths(12"&18"), and a nice sized drum(20") all on shiners.  Was after walleye.

The big problem with the waterfront is that there are not any boat launches in that area. I wish they would put a launch down by Sandcastle. That way i could launch my little 14' w/ the 6 hp motor and not have to travel for an hour to get there.

Lack of launches is the problem with the entire Pittsburgh pool.  One launch in a city that boasts about all our waters and bridges.  I think it's a shame.

You would think that with all the development going on, someone would put in a few launches along the river.
