Steelhead by boat

Im looking to head up and fish the mouth of some streams for steelhead from a boat, in and around the erie area.  My boat is 22' and set up for stripers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

    As been said before. Hope the waves are small, and stay out of Krocodile casting distance.

    I dont mean to be stupid but what is Krocodile casting distance?

    just like fishing for eyes just fish the walls around 10ft is the close and work from there use spoons small body baits rooster tails play with color ive even used wht or grn twister tails cast away from boat and speed would be around the same for eyes

    He means the people casting spoons from shore, Kroc is a poular choice of spoon commonly used.

    This was my first post. Thanks folks for advising a greenhorn.  I'm gonna keep an eye on the weather up there and make a decision?
