C&M Archery and Big Buck would be your closest archery shops in the area. Might want to pass on to them as well.

it was in the middle of the road in a case. must have fallen from a pickup or they had it on top of the car/truck and forgot that they did not put it away. thanks for the tips. i'll stop at big buck. do not know where c&m is. also will post on other sites as you mentioned and also in the fishing section.

Someone got my Mathews FX last year due to my stupidity.  I take a lot of hald days of vac during archery and hunt the AM and the PM and work 1/2 a day in the middle of the day.  Well one AM I was running behind.  Lay my bow down, throw my climber in the back of the truck and then start getting changed.  I tore out of there, leaving the bow along the side of the road.  Didn't realize it until the next AM when I went to hop in the truck to go hunting but when I went back, it was gone.  In that case, no one was nice enough to post it up that they found it, at least not that I could find.

You did a noble thing by turning it in. Hopefully the person who drove off and forgot about it on their roof/open tailgate finds out through your efforts.

Good for you, restores my faith in people.

You Sir, are indeed a credit to the entire Hunting Fraternity. So many hunters would have just taken the bow and case without ever trying to find the owner.

You should also report it as lost property with the Police Department of jurisdiction where found incase the owner reports it to them. If an honest attempt to return it to the owner fails you can take claim to it as found property.

I had a hunter report finding a rifle leaning against a tree near a parking lot one deer season. He too did the right thing by reporting it. I notified the local State Police and a couple days later the owner called to report he had lost his rifle and it was gone when he returned looking for it. He was one happy individual that it had been an honest hunter that found and took possession of his rifle that day.

It is a heartening when we find honest and honorable hunters among our ranks.

I do not want to register at another site that i will not use. Will you please psot on that forum and tell them to reply to this post on fisherie or call northern tier police. I called sport shop and this is no cheap bow. I am surprised that i have not received any bites for this.
    thanks in advance for posting
