Wilhelm crappies

I have fished the lake for years and always had great success in the fall. Lately I can't seem to find more than a few really small fish. Doe's anyone know what's the problem. Normally we fished the deeper water towards the dam and close to the creek channel. I will appreciate any info or advise.

    Blame the Amish.........

My wife told me that if I didn't stop fishing every day, she'd leave me. Some days, I really miss her.

No blame the gizzard shad and possibly the guy who dumped his bait bucket into the lake... The amish on this lake in the last 6 years is nothing The amish that I see are bank anglers and in row boats. It is kind of simple if you put to many cows in a field then none get fat the lake can only support X amount of bio mass per acre competeing for the same food source.

But Bass and muskie anglers rejoice as the shad provide a food source that grows many large bass and muskies to 50 inches and fat walleyes.

Thanks for the input. I had heard stories about gizzard shad so I guess that is the problem. Maybe I'll just look for walleyes at Wilhelm and find another lake for crappies.
