a new realm for the one fly?

Let me preface this by saying I hope it rains a decent amount over the course of a few days, BUT...
IF IT DOESN'T.....
Will we need to adjust our strategies? Maybe even completely change our fly selection to go after bass on the lake somewhere? I know that many will stick to the streams for the steel, but if there are only a few, and they aren't very far up, will some folks fish for another species altogether? I can hear some right now screaming-BLASPHEMY!!!!
There's always the lakefront, but just wondering if anyone is pondering this as well?

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."
Matthew 4:19

The word is the fish are far up but scattered, and that was before this last rain. I'm bettin you guys will do just fine aside forom standard low/ clear Erie conditions, there should be enough fish around to keep you interested. Might acually be better. You may have to walk to find scattered pods of fish in remote pools, not all stacked up at the mouths with a hundred guys on top of them. Low/ clear but unpressured = okay by me.

Last years one fly creeks were horrible, and yet every well almost everyone managed to catch fish. I don't think anyone will have promblems finding them, and catching at least one in the 4 hours of fishing. :)

I'm not worried about the low, dry conditions. I've had a good fly tyer tie me up a supply of Dust bunny flies. For fishing dry creek beds. They're made with condor feathers, and qiviut hair from the underfur of musk oxen, with hackle made from the neck feathers of the spotted owl.

If I remember right, one team won the contest fishing for bass instead of steel.

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Can't be 10 chubs cause you're only allowed 1 small fish as a tie breaker. No wait the rules say juvenile, so that means you have to be able to determine the age of all the chubs. And yes thinking outside the box will be very helpful if conditi9ons are low. But with rain scheduled for Sat & Sun and Tues, Wed Thurs and Fri. There should be enough water for all.
