Steelhead lines

I was wondering what I should do for my steelhead noodle set-up, I have used yo-zuri hybred in the past (not for steel) and I did like it. On the other hand, I do have spiderwire ultra cast invisibraid on my ultra lite setup and I love that line! It casts a conservatily 25% further than my old braid I had on there. It is also designed specifically for use on spinning reels I like the strength, and the fact that there is minimum memory. I hate having the little curley Q's of line on the water (pet peeve)which is what I love about braid.

My question is, should I go with the invisibraid with a floro leader or should I go with straight yo-zuri for the whole spool. I am having a tough time making this decision because I am a huge fan of braid however I do realize that it is not nessisarly the right tool for every situation.

Thanks,

Jacob

I was told by poor richards, to go with a mono. due to its lack of memory. He sold me a green one (cant remember the name) its abraision resistant. Then I put a barrel swivel on, and tie my fluro on to that.

For noodle set-ups, historically, I have always used 4-6lb P-Line and had great results. Last year I switched to Siglon-F in 8lb and used 4-6lb P-Line Fluoro tippet, had great results on that too.

For my noodle rod I usually used 8 pound berkley, the smooth casting not the extra strong, then I would use 4-6 pound flouro for a leader

8lb berkley trilene and 6ib berkley vanish tied in with a blood knot on my noodle rod has worked great for me in clear low water. in high or murky water i just use the trilene and no leader.

6lb clear suffix on a noodle, with a reel that can stand some pull!!   i got a mitchell advocet,   when fishing the lake with spoons you might need a heavier spool!!!

My Okuma Inspira reel is my all around use reel
It has 10lb PowerPro line on it.
I run that to an indicator then use 4- 6 lb fluorocarbon Pline or 8lb under a lighted bobber at night
