contact the manufacturer............I own a pair of Simms, and I had them do that for mine....but they were a custom order........I'm not normal sized I guess and it cost a good penny to get it done.......but since they fit nearly perfect......I have gotten many many years out of them

WTH is a bell? Did you mean belt, aka waistline?

Hey Drake....when do you sleep? I think he is trying to tell us he is VERY round in the middle so he has to buy waders that are oversize for his body, but then the bootie is too large. He should follow 2B's advice and buy Simm's custom but they are expensive.

My sleep was interrupted by a terrible cramp at 2:15 am. Should have opted for a banana at 10pm last night instead of the microwave beef&bean burrito... :) I'd wear extra socks before shelling out the bucks for a custom made set of waders. Normal rule of thumb is to buy wading boots an extra size larger than street shoes. Not sure what difference it would make if he wore an extra pair of heavy socks.

pkods,I have no idea of the cost cause I don't have that problem, maybe 2B will chime in later,he's busy right now,and give you a idea. Or you can go to Simm's website and get contact info, they will bend over backwards to help you. They are expensive but they are top quality and stand behind their product.

pkods, I have the same problem you do. LOL And my advice is: Unless you've got big bucks, learn to adapt. I have to buy 3x tall waders (try finding them "in Stock") and then the feet are like 13-14 but I take a 10-11 so I just use thick socks, bigger boots and still wind up with part of the heel of the wader sticking out of my boot. When I'm fishing I hardly notice. And it does make them easier to get on & off.

I got nearly 5 years out of a pair of simms g3's and I'm awfully tough on waders. They get a lot of use chasing early salmon, steelheading through fall and winter and chasing trout and hatches all spring and summer. The price is a bit high ($299 for mine) but worth it just for the peace of mind. Periodical washing and treating does help as dirt seems to wear easily into the fabric.

Purchase the cheapest Simms Breathables---headwater 300 bucks or go cheaper---Blackfoot 140--not breathable or the Freestone--200 bucks, not breathable you will have to order from a Simms authorized dealer and tell them your size and that you want the stocking foot changed out for the size you need--- I'm a short and stocky dude----I ordered a Medium Short and asked them to take the bootie that was a 9-11 off and had them put a 7/8 bootie on.......cost 50 bucks extra Simms Custom Page:http://www.simmsfishing.com/site/custom_shop.html I bought mine at TCO in Reading..........just find your closest retailer........tell them you want said Simms wader, but that you need the bootie changed out......I didn't have to wait too long to get them Simms offers a ton of sizes that are sure to fit you........find that size, swap out the bootie and you'll be rockin' streamside soon enough I bought the G3 and have no complaints at all......think I totalled out at 475 or 500 dollars.... PS--that was in 2002 or 2003--I fish a lot and I fish hard......can't believe these waders have lasted this long---I will say though, they have not had much use the last 3 years....but before I got hurt at work---daily fishing, multiple trips to the salmon river and multiple trips to Erie tribs annually.......best fishing investment I have ever made
