many fish in lower river...

hooked ten and landed 2 today in DSR. many fish came through on sunday but the water was really high. fishing was hot in town by this morning... but it was even hotter in DSR. i think you can say it's officially started. many of the fish i saw today were dime bright... the 15 pound male that i killed still had digested food in it's stomach. i left today on monday labor day, but i heard on my way up that a large group of kings and cohos were just heading in to the meadow and spring hole. i was a little disappointed to hear that, but i can't complain. i had my fun...

Fished the firemens lot again today. Real busy in the morning, saw a number of fish kings and coho, landed 2 kings a coho released them, noon was dead slow then it fired back up by 3:00. We saw more of the same and landed another king and coho, they now sit in the freezer. The estuary is boiling with fish and like Dime said DSR is going crazy. The season has arrived!!!!!Hint: I would hit the ballpark area again first thing in the morning, that would be thick with fish.

Stress is just one hookset away from being gone.

    Sweet.... headed up this weekend!

Stupid question... since I've never fishing the Salmon. How do tell the difference between the coho's and kings as they're swimming by. Or is it pretty obvious.

Yes that's a stupid question, but a stupid answer would be that the Kings are generally the largest fish swimming by.

You can keep Coho's and Kings but not Atlantic's at the DSR

Rumor going around the atlantics will be all catch and release next year.the return was great this year, many left on ropes. There are still alot around the upper river, had the privilege to release a few, largest i have had my hands on. as far as i heard the largest King caught so far was 39lbs.,out of the lake.
