Buhl Park fishing Derby for kids is back Sept 4
Just want to put a shout out that the Buhl Day Fishing Derby for Kids is back at Lake Julia this year @ Buhl Park in Hermitage. We had to take a year off due to the lake being drained for repairs of the bridge and casino last year.
I want kids 0 to 15 to come and fish----"ITS FREE" I even got bait donated from Bills field and stream in transfer. I have prizes (a rod/reel combo) for the largest fish in each age group as well as a bunch of door prizes for the kids to win.
I also need adult help, if you want to give a morning to promote fishing stop by, bring a tape measure and a pen. I always need guys and girls around the lake to measure the kids fish and write the info on their cards I give them.
Here is the info
Saturday September 4th, sponsored by the Western Reserve Fish and Game Protective Assocation.
Registration at the "Casino" building at lake julia 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. fishing is from 9 to 11. at 11 we round them all up figure out who caught the big fish and give away all the prizes...its usually over by noon.
Please pass this on to every kid you know that may want to attend. I am very worried that since we took last year off that turnout will be low.
If you show up and want to help look the for guy with the faded Cabelas hat, that would most likely be me or just yell "hey Matt" and I will answer you.
Hope to see you there.
Matt
