Conneaut creek

I'm looking for a place to fish Steelhead closer to Linesville. I was reading about Conneaut Creek but didn't get much info south of 6N. Has anyone had any success in this area. I fished 16 mile last year and had good time, but would like to find a place closer to home.

its a verrrrrrry small creek. most places you can put a foot on either side of the creek. but there are steelies in there. you gotta find the holes. my advice, start in dicksonburg and work toward the lake. search out the holes and come back when the fish are there. good luck.

I agree with Citysticker........Start at the Mouth or work your way to the mouth. Lots of unmarked privat property and very few fish in between. Don't let the small stream fool you, there are very nice pods of fish in the creek. Seems like they come later in the year though.......

I was just there Sunday alittle west of pa and all I caught was a rock bass and my buddy got a sucker. I was suprised at how much people can be a-holes. There were bud lite cans everywhere. We didn't have a garbage bag but we picked up what we could carry. It's a dog darn shame people just don't care.

thats exactly why i carry a few plastic bags in the back pouch on my fishing vest when i fish shenango river. if the line i picked up was any good i could respool my reels about once a week for life with how much i find along the shore and lost in the trees. its amazing at what people throw when using 20 lbs test mono... i never thought anyone could throw a size 3 mepps on it
