Doing a little exploring...

This past Sunday, me and a bud decided to check out a local stream. Been hearing rumors for years of some nice scenery and some fish. Finally got a chance to get out and see it for ourselves...

After a short drive and a hike back in, here is the first look at this stream...

There were several waterfalls...

Did find what I was looking for...

Even though there were not as many trout as I had hoped for, the aggressive creek chubs and occasional smallmouth bass made it a good trip. Best part of the whole day, was not seeing another person except my fishing partner.

    Beautiful pics!

Looks like the water was up a bit. At normal levels, that'd be some tough but fun caddis water. :)

I saw it, but I can't figure out why there were 4 inch creek chubs on it??? Catching bait again??? LOL!

The chubs were on there for a photo shoot. You ruined the surprise. Were they still squirming?

With a place a beautiful as that, it wouldn't matter how well the fishing was..........well, almost.  Native brookies are merely a bonus though.
