Lucky's are nice but, a wise manufacturer rep once told me that there are some lures made to catch fish and there are some made to catch fisherman. There are plenty of good cranks out there that won't break the bank. We carry the Matzuo tourney cranks and they are a great lure at a really good price. Strike King makes some nice baits too. My favorite is the shad rap #5. I use the #7's as well. The new Berkley flicker shads are another great lure. It comes in 2 sizes. I've only tried the smaller of the 2 but it caught fish right out of the package. -J

I have a question about ultralight crankbaits. I like to fish them on my 4'6" ultralight. i was wondering if a 3/8th oz lure was too much for my setup to handle. my rod doesn't list a lure weight and my reel is 5:2:1 ratio. i use 4lb mono. do you think i can use a 3/8oz or should i stick to lighter lures?
