Those two fish look a little dark - considering they were caught in deep water..

Are they starting the "change" early????

those are runners if you ask me. males... say no more... i've seen huge runs of vicious males about one week form now twice with in my 22 seasons. there are runners right now everyday, a few at a time i would bet on it. especially with the red tint belly. i am very familiar with these colored fish in the lower river in late august. this season is gonna be hot... fish on gottum and thanks for the reports...

There are two public ramps that I'm aware of,one is where the Little Salmon River empties into lake, the other on Sandy Pond. Both were free, but that was yrs ago not sure now.

    Looking good.

Its officially time for me to go into town to order flies, clean the reels, and get everything ready.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

its not yours til its on the grill

your best bet for a bigger boat is the Little Salmon River off 104b-
2.5 probe speed is right on the $$-
if you want to save time I can do 4hr afternoon trips that can help tune you in.

I don't think my "old trusty" reel would stand up to those sharks!!!!!

Stress is just one hookset away from being gone.
