    Man what brand of finish do you use? And would it be compatible with bamboo? Some finishes are too alkaline or caustic for bamboo. But I like that finish. For bamboo I'm usually stuck with Spar Varnish or poly.

    No kidding. I would love to sit in on a build session. I have an understanding of the mechanics of rod building, but lack the ability to take it from following a process to creating a work of art.

    Needless to say, but saying it anyways- Beautiful work!

    I use Classic Coat super build finish. As far as I know, there is no reaction with bamboo as two of my rods are OK with the finish.
