linesville marina, pymy question

do any of you guys put in here or have a boat docked here?  it is directly behind clark island.  my buddy is moving his boat here next year and was wondering about underwater obtacles such as stumps and downed trees.  also, are clark, harris and whaley as good for slabs as they used to be?

any help will be appreciated........and thanks.

I hit a stump full throttle heading to a private dock on the ESE? side of the lake.  I was EXACTLY in the middle of the lake.  I was heading from Harris Island the other one???  So ya, there's no advice someone can give you besides, go slow!  Those stumps are just below the surface.

I'm docked at Linesville. The best advice is go slow and good luck! Some of those stumps aren't stumps but driftwood under the surface and they aren't always in the same spot as the last time you were there. I avoid going between Whaley and Harris unless I'm fishing in that area. If I'm going out to the main lake I go between Harris and Clark to get there.

thanks, guys.  guess it hasn't changed much in 35 years.  those stumps around harris and clark used to be phenomenol in the spring.  the stumps there for eyes even into the summer on harnesses.

I was always a little nervous going full bore up on that end.
Always gotta make sure the motor is not locked down so when you hit a stump or driftwood it only scares the crap out of you...And it does....

bings, i have bumped motors on three of my boats up there.  especially when the lake is kicking.  never happened down south, of course.  i have a small bay on the north end that is loaded with big crappies every spring.  whether in a boat or waders, they are thick in the wood.  guess you have to sacrifice to catch at times.
