Cross Creek

We hit Cross Creek dam today and NOTHING was going on except sweat, didn't see anyone catch anything.  Anyone been doing anything out there lately?  Shallow? Deep? Weeds? Wood?  What gives?

I've been there twice this year so far. Nothing huge. Last time we went I was fishing off the bottom with fatheads and I was pulling crappie in left and right. That was between like 11-3 right in the heat of the day. I've had good luck with spinners along the weeds with largemouths. Crawlers will always get you bass/bluegills all day long.

Was out there on Monday the 19th. Caught small ones on the weed edges with a 4 inch worm, 1 keeper and small ones running a crankbait parallel to the weed edges.

Can you fish Cross Creek at night?

My wife told me that if I didn't stop fishing every day, she'd leave me. Some days, I really miss her.

It'd be nice to fish somewhere all night from shore without having to carry a side arm for protection.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd suggest protection no matter where you spend the night fishing, especially if alone.
