Lake Lebouef...hmmmm, I wonder....

Drove by Lake LeBouef Saturday morning. There must have been 5 boats close to the south shore. Bass fishing? Bluegills? Crappies? I haven't fished there in ages. What could I expect there?

I've done okay on pike this year...mostly hammerhandles, though I did see a 38 incher caught.

Caught a big ol snapping turtle one day...was fishing a two-hook rig and he gulped both chubs...had a hell of time unhooking him without getting sliced (claws!), diced and chomped.

My friends catch a lot of bluegill there.

Heard someone got a 51 inch muskie few weeks ago, but I heard it in a bar, so...

Saw a nice fat bowfin in the shallows, but couldn't get him to hit.

Little bit of everything in there...
