Dunlap Lake

Anybody have any recent report from there? Hopefully trying for bass this weekend, maybe eyes or crappie depending how it goes.

Was there Monday, Trolled around a bit caught a small trout, went to shore in the evening started catching bass nothing big though. I fished down by the breast. Talked to some other guys and they said the day time fishing has not been good but early morning and late afternoon and evening are good times.

Dont think there are any sauger in Dunlap unless someones been recently throwing them in. Think he probably caught saug-eye. Fish commission used to stock them (fry or fingerlings forget which) until fairly recently. A cross of the sauger & walleye. They get MUCH larger than sauger. Close to the same top end size of walleye with somewhat faster growth rate.

Fished from 5 till 1230, tried everything and not a bite. My single worst day fishing ever. All I saw were bluegills. Never seen anything like that, only saw 2 trout and a bass caught.
