old mitchell reels

does anyone know who works on the old mitchells?  i have an old, french-made 408 that i want to get back into use.  thanks for any help.....rap.

    Most older mitchells really aren't too complicate to do yourself. Most of the old schematics can be found online and they show how to care for and replace any parts. If you need a certain part you can find a ton of ebay for a resonable price. I have mainly 300's 302 and a 308 I believe and haven't had a hard time replacing anything on them myself.hOpe this helps some

    Tackle unlimted will beat you over the head!!!!!!! That guy is way to high.... Take it apart, it is simple to fix, if it is broke you cant break it right!!!!!! LOL....

    Thanks for posting that link...

    I have several French Mitchell 300s collected over the years and the paper work has long since been lost or mis-placed... in fact use one on my Clarion River fishing trips...

    I even printed the parts page out for those models...
