Fly reel

Looking for a reel to put on a new 10' 7 wt rod.
The choice seems to be narrowed down to 3
used Ross momentum Lt 4 $350.00
pre 1998 Ross GunissonG4 ex. condition $225.00
used Abel Super 6 ex. con. $400.00
Any input appreciated

Can't go wrong with any of the choices glen.  Ross's are great... I'd rather have the momentum lt just for line retreival, although gunnison's are a favorite of mine.  A g4 is a bit narrow and won't pickup line like the others.  But it will get the job done.   Abel's are about as good as it gets.   It's amazing how smooth they are.    Unnecessary for steel, but they are a pleasure.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

    Glen,
    I have the Momentum LT4.
    It's a great reel.
The only complaint I have is that one cold morning. You bob and barry fished the morning away while I was sidelined with a reel that kept locking up with ice. Other than that, its been flawless.

Ross momentum LT 4, 7.6 oz. 3.75" spool diam.
Abel super 7 lg. arbor, 7.5 oz. 3.75" spool diam.

The Abel big game 2 you are watching has a spool diam. of 3.3", too small.
