outboard spark plugs

Man what a freakin hassle trying to find a new set of sparkplugs for my 15 hp motor.
Fouled a plug today at woodcock, (thank god I didn't go down to Pymy) and tried to find a new set here in Corry...
What a joke , I realize why they might not have them in stock, but the three auto parts stores, Motorcycle/ATV shop and even the Snowmobile shop couldn't even order them...
I prefer NGK as they have always been good to me..
Any suggestions as to where a guy might find some up here ????

PS. The large Smallies are up on top and ripping it up...
Had a Smallie that was at least 23"/6-7lbs(biggest I've ever seen there) come completely out of the water after a topwater...

I ran into the same problem last year. My 9.9 takes some goofy NGK plugs (no idea of the number). No luck at any of the local cycle shops; and after a few phone calls to some auto parts stores, Advance Auto actually had them in stock. I would check there if you have one local.

I know my Merc dealer has them, but its also a 45min ride for me.

Bings if you need em right away I might have a few extra. Have to check the # though. My 15h evinrude is from 1957 and if the #'s are the same i can hook you up right away. Untill you can get some. Gimme a minute to go look.

Nope sorry Bimgs. They dont match up. My motor takes VINTAGE parts I tried.

nobody else makes that plug. marine specific. must not be used by many motors.

Hit the Merc dealers and every Marina around Chautauqua today..
Most couldn't even find it in the book..
Napa will order me a box of 10 at $7 a piece...

If this is how hard it is to get parts for a Mercury motor I would suggest buying another brand.....
