Boat flares

Anyone know if fishusa carries them. Couldn't find them. After reading someones post about getting checked, figured I'd better check mine. Exp. 2008 is good right ?

Couldn't find them on there either giz. Exp. 2008? You might want to hold on to those, they were lucky for you last year

Last set of flares I bought were found on the clearance rack at Kmart. Think I paid $5 or $7 for them, wasn't really looking but couldn't pass them up.

After a closer look, I checked all of my usual sites that I use for boating supplies and none of them had flares listed on their web sites. I would bet that FishUSA has them, must be some rule against selling them online....

Probably due to shipping them. Last ones I bought got a Gander Mt. I think Walmart has them also.

I've seen them at WalMart, KMart and Trader Horn, along with the usual sporting goods stores. Never looked for them online but would tend to agree that it could be a problem to ship them.

Just learned recently that if you carry the pistol flares that shoot a shotgun style shell out of the orange plastic pistol, and you fish new york. You can be cited, as they are considered handguns, and illegal. Be careful.

Haz Mat charges on shipping one pack of flares costs more than the flares. Most of the local bait shops have them.

I did not know about the flare pistol laws. If my boat catches on fire, just run....I think I have saved every flare since I have been boating.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

They are not illegal in NY. I fish there regularly and work in NY half the year( I am there now) They sell them at Walmart here and I have been checked on Lake O with them by the DEC no issues. They are also not illegal in Canada as this question was just answered prior to the St.Cathys Scotty that was held 2 weekends ago.

Walmut near me only carried the shells. Be hitting P.R. when I get up that way.
