Thanks guys. If I ever manage to put down the fly rod this summer, I will be sure to try it. Have a few brand new packs of senkos and the hooks for a wacky rig, but never tried it.

How have you guys done on chatterbaits?  Picked up a couple today at lunch that were on sale.  Never tried them before. 
 
Pumpkinseed 7" power worm rigged weedless and weightless and a big ol white buzzbait with a chart. trailer are my usual go to baits for bass.

GULP Alive shiner rigged with a 1/2 oz slip sinker and a #6 or #8 hook. Jello for drifting smallmouth. Small hook is the trick.

you guys got my attention i also love casting x-raps and spoons along with fly fishing.Am new to the peninsula any good hints on what to use and best times.

Are the semkos that you all are talking about made by Gary Yamamoto? Didnt know if semko was a brand thing or just the shape...like worm and grub etc. Picked up some Yamasemkos in a purplish/black color today. Might give them a try tomorrow afternoon.

Senko's are also salt impregnated. If you bite the tip you will taste it. They are a little pricey but worth it.  Bass pick it up and swim off with it like it is a live bait.  This worm will make worm fishing seem easy.  When the head gets beaten up reverse it, when that gets beaten up fish it wacky  style.  When the bite is on you can go thru a bag in no time.  Use  a good quality EWG { extra wide gap} hook.  I like Gamagatsu.
