    I have that reel in #3 and 3.5.  It is a great reel.

    Skip, You got a quality reel that is fine for a 6 or 7 wt single hand. At 3.5" diam., its a bit small for a switch or short spey but will work. What IMO works best for a 2 hander, switch or spey 12'6" or less is a reel 4" in diameter.

    4" diameter will handle short skagit, scandi lines better which are the lines preferred for most 2 handed fishing, especially steelhead on bigger erie water, ex. Catt., Grand.
