Hawaii!

I am fortunate enough to travel with my family to Hawaii the last week of July this summer and am trying to find a good guide for me and my father.  We are staying on the big island of Hawaii in Waikoloa which is on the Kona Coast in the NW side of the island.  I'm hoping maybe someone out there has some advice or direction to point me in.  I am open to all suggestions and types of fishing.

Thank you!

I just got back from Hawaii myself last Thursday. However I stayed on the island of Maui so I really dont know a guide to tell you. While I was in Maui I went out with a charter called Start Me Up. I do know that we caught a bunch of Mahi on our trip and it was a blast. As far as advice would go if you can swing a private charter its a great way to go, but it is very expensive. I went with a share boat with 6 people and we all caught fish and a good time was had by all. I know this was no real help at all but I just figured anything is better than nothing. By the way July and August are the best time in Hawaii for Marlin!

I never mind hearing a story Duane I am thinking of going the marlin route I think that would be awesome.  I was there once 4 years ago and caught a 40lb barracuda and a 140lb yellowfin!  I was also staying in Maui then it was a great time.
