Cumberland Dam or Shawnee Lakes

Does anyone know if there is any open water on any of these lakes?  I heard the edges were starting to melt but I think for the most part they are still frozen over.

The only thing better than 1 day of fishing is 2 days of fishing.

edges are shot and you can stick a spud through at both lakes .....not safe for ice fishing , not open enough for the boats

Shawnee will probably have open water by the end of this week, hell maybe by Wednesday or sooner...I'm taking a trip down tomorrow to Bedford and will make a pass around the lake to see what's what.

Ice-out at Shawnee used to be a favorite time of year for me.

Drove past Shawnee this morning and it's mostly open. There was still some ice though between the bridges inside the park and the breast. It was a questimate of halfway between the 2 is where the ice started. May drive back down tomorrow with a fishing rod.

Water was a couple feet above normal.

My son was down at Shawnee Sunday and said the water was up over the handicap fishing pier.  I guess they were holding water back because of the flooding down stream.
