If you happen to use it, please post what you think.  I picked up a 1/4 lb spool at a discount sports store for $4...

Will do. Mine was on sale also. That's why I figured it was either junk or getting phased out due to lackluster sales. Sometimes you're surprised tho...

    Rippin -

I'm a sucker for those too!  With my tacklebox full of $2 bin lures that don't work, I wish that I could break that habit, and just spend $6 on the ones that work!!!  Although, like you said, some times you find a real gem in the rough.

I have a spool of Cabela's 6lb copolymer freshwater line.  It broke just from reeling in...  Not sure how, but I'd cast and the lure would fly off with about 50' of line.  It happened about 5-6 times, so stopped using it.  I have a 90% full spool sitting in a junk drawer for about 5 years now.  I am a fan of Cabela's saltstriker copoly line though.  About 3/4 the diameter of regular line the same size, and seems to be pretty strong.  Kind of strange how one can be great and the other total junk...

My buddy bought one of those on sale 99 cent crankbaits at Trader Horn. It was the dumbest lookin lure I ever saw. Square lip and s*** brown color. He caught EVERYTHING on it including trout and musky  I thought he was going to cry when he snagged up and lost it.

Wally World in W Mifflin had a bunch of line and lures on clearance sale a few days ago.
I had about a dozen items in the cart then wondered what is wrong with them.
The Trilene  I had was beside Vanish Line that a lot of people bash.
I have large and some bulk spools of better line at home.
Do I really need orange power bait marshmallows?
All of the crap went back to the clearance isle by the garden center

I need to give myself a pep talk before heading into tackle shops.  Harbor Freight does the same thing to me too.

Many years ago I fell into that rat race and bought a lot of junk from the bargin table. I thought I was really smart. I eventually wised up and don't even look at the stuff on those tables or bins now. I have several grandsons that are into fishing and like to throw lures/plugs but much to the dismay of their fathers a lot of "stuff" is lost. I have gone to giving a lot of fishing gear to the young grandkids knowing how prone they are to losing the stuff. Also been giving away rods, reels and terminal tackle to fathers and sons at our church. Rarely does anyone come into my garage, talk about fishing and walk away empty handed.

Those bargin tables could better be named "JUNK Tables For Suckers".

I caught a bass on a white helicopter lure
Did not spend $30 buying them on TV-$2 garage sale
