New hook Dee

Its not a new hook to the world its just a new hook to me. Its a Daiichi 2271. Size 1. I find it to be a very attractive hook. Not nearly as long as the AJ Blind Eyes but long enough for a nice body.

Though its not really my best color combo for catching fish I enjoy the way pink purple and black flow. I used schlappen for the body hackle. I usually dont use it but it was within easy reach so I went for it. I stripped one side and took a toothbrush to it to make it "unclingy "



I used goose shoulder for the wing because the turkey would have been too long. You must tie the turkey in close to the base for proper hydraulics of the fly. If you are tying just for looks it doesnt really matter where you tie in at.




Boy I really want to fish this one. Hope you like it.
