FREE online boater safety course

You have to jump through a hoop or two, but from your own home you can get you boater education requirement complete for free.

Kawasaki motor sports is sponsoring the program:  http://www.pwcsafetyschool.com/

While Ohio and Pa. do not participate, they do recognize NASBLA approved courses as compliance with Ohio and Pa. boating laws.

For Ohio:  http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/watercraft/BoaterEdLaw/tabid/2552/default.aspx

For Pa: http://www.fish.state.pa.us/98boatco.htm

Pa. Law states if you're a resident of Pa. and boat in Pa. you must have completed the Pa. course.  Ohio's law does not read that way. 

If you reside outside of Pa., you can get the WV. card and be in compliance in both Pa, and Ohio.

If you reside in Pa., you can get the WV card and be legal in Ohio. 

If you take the free online course offered, it is a good prep for the Pa. course should you have the need to take that.

Get the kids involved.

    by the U.S. Coast Guard as exceeding the minimum requirements for the
    National Recreational Boating Safety Program.
    Individual states may charge additional fees for their officially recognized boating cards.

    I just read that this is not valid in PA
