New Years weekend plans ?

I assume most of us have a long weekend ... and most will be looking to get out on the water ?

I'm off for 4 days (Thur-Sun) ... i know where i'll be Saturday for most of the day, but plan on a min. 2 outings, possiably a 3rd.

If any of you guys are flying solo give a shout out  ... i'm sure guys are starting to work out plans. It's going to be cold but nice.

Duane - I would like to hit the lake over your way at some point. I would think it should be in good shape after
                this weather.

Yeah I am sure it would be. It had good ice on it before this cold weather. Just let me know what day you want to head over!

Weather Advisories:  POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ICE ON LAKES AND PONDS INTO THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND.
WeatherNet 6 spotter reports indicate that yesterday's strong winds have caused some ice to break up on Saratoga Lake with two open areas of water. This has likely occurred on other area lakes as well. As the wind drops open areas of water will skim over with thin ice, but will not freeze deeply due to moderating conditions developing on Thursday and Friday. Snow by Friday will also hide areas of thin ice. USE EXTREME CAUTION THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND IF YOU HAVE RECREATIONAL PLANS ON THE ICE.
    .
Ice Thickness Guidelines from the NWS.
    For People: 4" or more.
For Snowmobiles or ATV's: 5" or more.
For Cars and Light Trucks: 8"-12" minimum.
    For Medium Trucks: 12"-15" minimum

Just posting for those headed for these lakes. Stay on top my friends.

MAN!  I wish i could fish four day weekends (or even have them).  My wife's gonna bust out the rolling pin pretty soon if i start going out every sunday. That being said, I have an invite to Sacandaga on sunday so it's gonna be a tough refusal. Hoping I can see some of you guys at Jimmys on saturday, where Elvis may be appearing.
