Toastie Toes all the way.  Just tried the insoles that are new and boy do they work. Insole on the bottom and the Toes on top.   Got them at Walmart.  Best $1.97 each ever spent.

Buy a good pair of liner socks, use the powder and invest the $22 in a pair of the heavy filson socks. My feet ALWAYS get cold, but this combo keeps them warm even in uninsulated boots.

The filson socks are hands down the best kind I have ever tried and I have tried at least 30 different pairs of decent socks.

i buy everything polypropalyne from the army navy store. not the crap from walmart the army issue stuff. socks, pants, shirt, gloves and head gear. it is all fairly cheap. polypropalyne is the best you can buy for moisture wicking. i wear them all winter, especially fishen erie when its minus 10 and the winds blowing.

Mine aren't the primalofts, just the heavyweight merino wool. What I like about them is that you can wear them for 2 or 3 days of hunting without them getting that worn out "I need washed NOW" feeling.

I have to agree with akitadog. Polypropalene is the best material for warmth and moisture wicking........
