What will you use first?

Can't wait for the run. I have to start talking about steelhead or I'll go nuts.  Just curious to start up some comments or discussion.  What is the first thing you are going to throw at the steelhead?  Of course it depends on water clarity, but I will probably throw a salted minnow, or woolybugger.

    Big,
If it's muddy, a big red wooly bugger.  If it's clear either one of Bugs' copperstonescuds, or a hares ear.

I'll probably throw my usual and strip it fast.

Orange popsicle or cream sucker spawn w/ Ray Charles dropper.
I call it a Ray Charles because even a blind man could catch a fish w/it.
The Ray Charles is size 16 w/ dark olive dub body & hackle legs.

I'd start with a small, unzippered fly.

Getting that little bit of business over with before pulling on the waders makes for a more enjoyable day.
