inhereted rifles

I am hoping you gentleman can give me some information. A few years back I inhereted a few antique rifles from a friend who passed. He was an antique dealer, and while he had the guns a number of years, I'm sure they were never registered to him.He probably picked them up at a flea market or antique show. Anyway, I like to be a "leagal beagel", so I am curious as to how to register the guns to me. By the way, I'm in PA. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

If they are rifles or shotguns you do not need to register them.
There is no paperwork on rifles in PA except when you buy from a dealor.
If they were pistols you would have problems regestering because the laws changed a few years ago.
You can not do the paper work in PA without a second party-buyer and seller.
The only possible way might be to sell it to a dealor then have him sell it to you-BAD IDEA
The government suposedly does not keep records of sales so they have no record of where it came from.
If for some reason the police get the gun all they can check for is if it was stolen and the number reported or test it-shoot it then send bullet to be compared with ones used in a crime.
I would not do anything with the guns but I would apply for a carry permit if they are pistols.

yeah, good God man, the last thing you want is the government involved.  That NEVER leads to anything good.
