First scrape of the year!

Saw a fresh scrape this morning walking out. Hard to believe that is the ONLY buck sign I have seen down here in Central Pa. Passed on a shooter doe and her young one(one in the freezer already). No new rubbs anywhere, seems strange. Back in the stand tomorrow morning.  Good Luck everyone.

Shot a adult doe with my flint today, and found my first scrape today,it was made last night, because it wasn't there at dark yesterday.Found a small rub line 4 rubs over a 100 yards, and saw a small 4 or six pointer today, the next week should start getting hot,my son checked our cam's in Ohio 4 different bucks no giants yet but a couple of decent shooters,he pasted on a six pt today.I don't start to bow hunt till the last week of Oct.and hunt the whole month of Nov. in Ohio.

They were making a lot of scrapes last thur-fri-sat in the snow here. Those were the only days I've had much action. Watched a Fisher eating apples this evening.

Buck sign has been scarce here in my areas Law. co. lots of bucks, just not much buck sign. I think the abundance of acorns spread the deer out more so it is more scattered.

Better too far back, than too far forward.
