Not to sound stuck up, but I, personally, think it's a crappy little stream. I fish there for bait(chubs) a lot, and since it's close to my house, I get out there for trout once in awhile.
There are plenty of fish, but most of them are constantly far too spooked to be caught. If you work hard you can almost always pull out a few fish though. But don't expect any fish above 14".

If you're really serious about fishing Miller's for trout, be quiet, unseen, and fly fish or use other finesse tactics. Hopefully there won't be any baseball games or horses walking through the water that day. lol
If you're really serious about trout fishing, don't bother stopping there.

Oh, and some of the best spots on Miller's are "off the beaten path". Which narrows it down a lot since most of that stream is in sight from main roads..

I fish it every opening day. My brother and I wade from one end to the other and catch tons of fish. Never keep any. As long as you stay away from the holes with the goldens in them, you'll have very little company once you get off the road. I agree with mook, the fish are removed faster than they are stocked as everyone seems to keep their limit. The part is a good place to take a youngster learning to fish.

Golden Rainbow Trout, what most people call Paliminos. They always stock a few at Miller's, and they're usually in the hole behind hte municipal building, and the popular hole about 1/8 of a mile downstream. Those are the holes that get hit the hardest.
And the "fall fish" you are catching are Creek Chubs, which are great for bait..

You can fish all the way down to the Farmers Market on rt 50. Don't go through the tunnel though, as just on the other side, the creek gets loaded with acid mine drainage and turns this wonderful orange color, and the only fish you'll find is carp. I've also pulled some largemouth bass out of the creek, but nothing too big.

I've seen carp up to 18 inches in the creek. There was one that was about 15 or 16 near southview that someone would catch every opening day of trout. I've caught a few SMALL smallie's (6"-10") near the farm market.
Dunfee is correct about the goldens. There's usually about 6-8 stocked with each stocking, sometimes 2 or 3 in one hole.
