Got a new reel, Getting new line

Hi Guys/Gals,
I just bought a new reel since I got a great price on a rod. I had picked up a new St. Croix 6wt at a steal of a price so I decided to pick up a new reel. I wanted an affordable large arbor so I searched high and low and came across a brand new Pflueger Trion at about half the cost I had seen them anywhere else. Though it is in the 7/8 weight size I figured it would not be a problem having it on my 6 wt. Brought it home and put them together and it feels really nice. I had some backing around the house so I got that on there. Now I was just wondering......what brand/model of line do you prefer? I'm looking around and there is so much to choose from and I haven't bought any in a couple years. Looking forward to your replies.

Also, my main use of this will be for Steel in PA but I will also be using it for some bass and small stripers/blues/weakies from time to time. So probably a WF line since I will use it on open water from time to time.

THanks

It's not about what you bring home but the time spent while you're there.

SAgpx line is weighted a little heavier for fast action rods. this is what i got on my vapor 6wt. rod and love it!
i like 444dt lines. wouldn't use anything other when it comes to a dt line for trout.

i've used 333 line for steelhead and largmouth and it seems ok without getting stiffer in the cold or too soft in warm water.

I was going to post a new topic for this b/c it's a total different question but I figured I might as well stick it in here and see what you guys think.

Have you ever used a Furled Leader? If so what did you think of it? WHat type of application did you use it for?

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Cortland, SA or Rio lines.
Use a soft DT if you primarily fish Erie tribs. A stiffer WF is only better if you fish the lake a lot.
I usually end up cutting anywhere from 1 to 3 feet off the tip of the line. You really don't need those delicate fly line tips found on many DT lines to throw shot, floats and weighted flies.

    Love 'em for above-freezing trouting.

Hate 'em for any and all steelheading.
