Lost my fly rod

Well im the biggest idiot I ever met.  Me and my dad were fishing the Legion hole on Elk creek October 10th.  Long day with only a few fish.  As we were packing up i put my rod on the roof of the truck and we drove away.  We didnt realize until about 45 minutes later and figured it was too late to turn back.  Its a 9ft Sage DS2.  If anyone happed to find it please let me know I love that rod with all my heart! I am willing to pay a reward. Thanks in advanced guys.

I have done it flyguy! Rod, cups of coffee, socket set, ect. That's why now, I try to put stuff on the hood. You can't pull out without seeing it. Well at least that's the theory. Athough I still might pull out. old timers syndrome.

My Wife said, if I go fish'n one more time, she'll leave me! God, I'm going to miss her!

We've all done it Fly Guy. I know it stinks and hopefully it will turn up. Like SS says I now put all my stuff on the hood when I get back. Then I make a trip around the truck to make sure I didn't forget anything. Best of Luck to ya!

I've done it but it was only a small box of tackle (maybe like 30$)... Still had that feeling in my stomach for a few days... Hopefully it turns up...

Been there, done that too flyguy, but was actually on the boat fishin a bass tourney. Fished a spot for awhile, put my rod down on the front platform with the other 5, thought I secured them with the rod saver, took off, hit a nice wake from another boat, there went 4 of the 6 rods in the drink. Never before had I been sick out on a boat, but I sure was that day.

My boy and I were at the Legion Hole this morning, left around 11:15 or so, sorry, but we didn't see a rod anywhere.

If it doesn't turn up, check your homeowners policy, you might be covered for a new rod and reel

I don't know if anyone mentioned that this rod was returned to FlyGuy kind of a funny story.
