The chartist's fishing report part deux

Fished Elk on Thursday, October 1st.  The water was fairly stained but at a nice flow.  Water at Elk access was like chocolate milk.  It was heavily stained too at the pool below the campground near the rte 5 tube.  I believe few new fish have entered Elk in the last week.  Those fish around the fallen trees around the access parking lot have moved upstream, though a few still remain.  I saw fish caught as far upstream to the point where the conrail tubes were in sight.  I think the fish population in Elk is still low.  The nice weather brought out the fishermen however.  Hotspots were crowed.  So if you didn't have a spot early, you were out of luck.  Had one hookup above the route 5 tube on a green glowball.
Walnut had water with a green stain, much nicer than the crap brown stain of Elk.  Fishing pressure was heavy.

Could someone clean those bathrooms at the Elk creek access?  I darn near puked walking in there Thursday.  They really should be torn down and rebuilt at this point.

The porta potties at Walnut are usually not too bad, but I have seen them this year.

The tribs all flow into Lake Erie.  The rest of the streams in Erie county flow south and east into French Creek.

It never ceases to amaze me that a simple attempt to lighten up the mood is completely misunderstood...

wonder if lewis and clark, and boone and crockett had a hard time finding clean facilities when they sojourned into the wilderness in their quest for excitement?  one can always leave the streams and go to the closest walmart to use the terletts.

Not exactly true...Conneaut creek is Erie County PA for the most part...But the last few miles are in Ohio and that's where the mouth is located as well....
