THERE'S A BUNCH OF THREADS IN THE FISHERIE SECTION. AS A NOTE, USING ALL CAPS USUALLY CONVEYS YELLING. So it might be better not to use ALL CAPS in future posts unless you want it to look like you're yelling. Other than than, good luck this weekend! Hope you catch at least a few and the weather is nice for you!

It should be good unless we get a ton of rain tonight and tomorrow. Check the weather even though thats not always right, check the gauges and hope for the best.

was up today , fished walnut , only saw 2 fish caught from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm , heard from a couple guys that the bite wasn't much better in the early am , lower elk from what i was told is still pretty brown. there aren't near the number of steel in walnut as what other people have stated on here , and 3 or so other people fly fishing said the same thing . the water was off color but in most places you could see bottom ! if they get a bunch of rain , the east side might be better

THE EAST SIDE IS TOO LOW AND CLEAR, SORRY i'M YELLING. Walnut sucks, despite the reports. Elk is the only option. which should be a good option. Any measurable rain tomorrow[ friday] will change everything.

Fished a few creeks the other day....like a previous poster stated, there are not as many fish in the creeks as others may have said. The rains helped bring the water level up, but that does not necessarly mean that thousands of fish came in. Its only October 1st....the main runs won't be comming in for a few more weeks at the earliest. If you have the urge to go out go for it, but if you think the fish are stacked, I will tell you that they are not.

fish are spread out on elk, if you find them... good, if not you got a lot of walking to do. the access is where all the action is supposedly today, i didnt see anyone hooking up on the north side of the tubes and saw one fish get pulled out south of the tubes while i was out. the water is pretty clear again already, you can see the bottom almost the entire way across except where it's deeper than 3 feet. *before someone gets their boxers in a bunch, this is just what i saw today... it in no way reflects the conditions on the entire stream but is just from my experience on elk this afternoon*

we all say the same thing today , hardly any fish caught ! and definitelay not thousands of fish in the tribs yet , 2 more weeks with more rain would be a better better bet especially if temps keep dropping !!!

If you read the WCO report Wednesday, he said that current lake temps are 65. Gettin' better, but not quite prime yet. I think many anglers - myself included - have a false hope that big rains in late Sept./early Oct. will bring in all the fish. But, from my experience, I'd say that lake temp is at least - if not more - important than big rains for bringing in big numbers. Another thing to consider. All these reports from the past few weeks about fish stacked in the lower tribs only means that "all those fish" that were stacked are now very well spread out. So it's kind of laughable to hear you guys say, "There's not as many fish as they said," when in reality there are certainly more this week, but just starting to spread out.

I read in one of Lonnie Waller's books that lake temps of 60 degrees and lower is optimal temps for good run but hey everyone has there own opinion.
"If, when you pull a fly out you dont hear drums and cant smell chicken blood in the air, put it back in the box, for if it is evil you seek, then it can only be conjured with the same.

hey PAPoint, before you come to Erie my friend. you need to do the following.. - grab a flathead screwdriver - find the Caps-Lock key on your keyboard and place the head of the screwdriver underneath the edge of the key - pull up violently and yank the key off the keyboard then crush it wish some pliers - where the key used to be on your keyboard, use the screwdriver to scratch off all those plastic and metal pieces so nothing remains that should do it! tight lines & good luck!
