couple more questions

Can you still use lead sinkers???

I was told that when the fising is "HOT" some guys go get the fish cleaned pack them in the cooler and hit the river again in a different spot.

Is this true???

I figured you would just Catch and Release, or is it illegal to C&R in some spots???

I believe you can still use lead sinkes you just cant buy them in New York. I have heard of people catch a limit drop the fish off at camp go to a different spot with new jacket to do it all over again. Personally I dont like eating them I keep a couple for friends that dont fish but like to eat them and throw the rest back. C&R fishing is allowed any place you can fish in the river.

Lead may be used! but as stated earlier its not available in NYS! with the flow being 335cfs you sure don"t need much!
As for the fishing? its up to you if you wanna take that chance?  If your fishing for meat and need all you can get then do what you think is right! Personally< I don"t keep any Salmon maybe a hoe or two< but thats it!.
