Hey Lovgren

I heard you picked  new motor for the boat.....curious to see what you picked up.  Also if you managed to get it out and see how it performs.
 
P.S. Start blowing that dust off the flyrod the steelheads are a comin.

    Hopefully I will be picking it up tonight, brand new Yamaha 20 h.p. four stroke.  I'll probably be out tommorrow breaking it in and giving it a test run.  I'm hoping for around 16-17 mph based on the performance tests I that read for that model--Test results from a 15 ft aluminum boat show a recorded top speed of 22.4 mph, so I don't think 16 mph is unrealistic.  I'll let you know--it'll be nice to not be plowing along at 7 or 8 mph--Just need to find some 9.9 decals (This motor is identical in size to most 9.9's, so I don't anticipate any problems with pesky fish commissioners-lol) 
    It will be a nice addition for a kicker motor when I finally can afford that brand new Ranger619vs fisherman I really want (Starting at "Only" $42,000) new!!!
