yes.. lagoons and Presque Isle piers/shoreline would be best bet

as long as the wind dies down..

but why no steelhead? (if you don't mind me asking...)

I'm still hammerin a few bass in the bay. Be prepared for weeds. I am using buzzbaits and spoons. I replace the treble on my cleos with a single hook...way less weeds! Good luck!

Can't help with the hotels....I quit stayin' in em when my wife caught me.

I don't always snag fish, but when I do...
    I choose Little Cleos

I went to the lagoons and the bay this past weekend with my uncle and the bass are still hitting. Slick is right about the weeds. I might have cleared about half of them out for you with my X-Rap. But its still good fishing if the wind slows and you have a little patience. Good luck.

Also, my uncle stayed at the Super 8 on Perry Highway and said it was pretty nice and not too expensive.

When the bay water temps hit the 50*s, the fishing turns on like fire.

Around the bay you should be fine, just use common sense and keep an eye on the wind. Good luck...hope ya stick some pigs.

That lure has been my goto all summer in most every body of water I have fished. Waters that have generally produced best on craws, senkos and jigs seemed lifeless many days. Put an XRap on and here we go... Kind of interesting that it has outfished every other jerkbait I have thrown exponentially. My partners and I caught fish on other baits, but none were as consistent as the Rap day in and day out. This was true on the rivers and several lakes. It may be interesting to see how the steelies react to it this fall...
