Martin 67A

I have an old Made in USA Martin 67A fly reel..

Appears to be in very good condition...

Can I pair this up with a 3w rod for trout ? (not steel)

Is this a usable reel or should I pick up a new reel to get back into flyfishing ??

Since noone has responded, I'll chime in.

While I'm not really familiar with that particular model of reel, as long as its not so heavy that it makes casting difficult, it should be a fine reel for general purpose trouting. You dont really need a fancy drag or anything, so as long as it holds line, reels in slack, and strips line smoothly, it should serve its purpose well.

Go ahead and use it. Like Cold mentioned, it's going to feel a bit heavy on the rod but other than that, you should be fine.
You're going to need a bit of backing to fill up the spool.
