Ohio River at Shippingport

Is there a boat launch to access the Ohio below the Montgomery Dam?  I can't fing one on the PFBC website in that area.  Or do you have lock though to get there?

    yes where beaver creek dumps in right on the boarder of pa and ohio. it's a really nice launch too. far run up to the dam but thats it as far as i know

    Plnoldrick is right. You have two options, launch in rochester, motor down, and lock through. Or you can launch at the state line like stated above, and motor up.
     
    Its probably at least 6 miles from the launch at the state line to the dam, and about 5 miles from rochester down to the dam.
