Salmon River Fly Rod

After fishing the Salmon River for some years now I built what I think will be a good rod for this fisherie.  G Loomis blank with a spey handle.  I bought two anti reverse fly reels for it, a Hardy Ocean Prince and a Dennision Belt Action Drive.  There are 5 pictures of it on my photobucket.  Can't wait until Oct.

    Skip,
The price was right on them.  The cork/composite accents take a little time to ream out, though.

What about the feel...... Shape  Have you had a chance to put any time on the water with it??      There are times when I need to get a rod done quick and ZI'm trying yo see if  these are a viable option to a custom grip....

    Skip,
I put the final coat of finish on last weekend so I haven't hit the water with it yet.  There is a little more filler in the cork portion than I would like, other than that it feels pretty good.  Probably wouldn't compare to custom made grips, though, but if you're strapped for time they should be a good alternative.  The but end flares out pretty wide which will have its pros and cons.

Thanks  I appreciate it   Why don't you post after you get some time on the water with it  The only concern I have with it is the size of the flares.....

    Again Thanks
