I didnt learn that dobsonfly from fishin...I once was attacked by one at a gas station. IIRC, they're relatives of the stoneflies. If you think the female is rough looking, Tim, you should see the pincer-jaws on the male.

Yeah the males are rediculous looking..... my office is right on the susky so she must have just came out of the water and got a little lost. If they feel threatened they let out some kind of odor to, kind of like a skunk does. I wouldn't want to get bite by one.

dobsons are in the order Neuroptera, stones are Plecoptera, not related.
