WALNUT AND ELK

I walked about 5 miles of walnut and elk creek and the heavy rain we had couple weeks ago changed some of the creeks. The holes you fished last year could be gone this year ,its a good time to check the streams out

any day of fishing is a gift

Good stuff, man! Harry and I were up there last weekend and spent some time on 20 and Elk. Didnt catch anything with any substance (a few smolts while casting to bigger trout), but heading into my sophomore season of steelheading, it was neat to see what features changed and what stayed the same. It was also cool to see what was under some of the water I'd fished last fall, and to see some structure that I know fish will hold behind, but that you'd never see with even another 6" of water and a little color...wouldnt even make a swirl on the surface.

Cant wait to see you again at the one fly!

Happens every year. Probably the best thing about our creeks is that they are always changing. Gives you a sligtly different look each year.
